We want everyone to be able to enjoy Vegan Kids Festival. If you or someone in your group needs dedicated one-to-one support to access or take part in the event safely, we offer a free PA/Carer ticket for their companion.
Who this is for
A PA/Carer ticket is for a named attendee who needs dedicated support from a companion — for example due to a disability, a registered access need, or a condition that means they can't safely take part without one-to-one help.
It's separate from everyday parenting. If you're attending with your own child, including a child with additional needs, your standard family ticket already covers you supervising them as usual. A PA/Carer ticket is for when a genuine second, dedicated adult is needed — for example, if one parent can't safely support both their child's needs and the rest of the family at the same time.
A Personal Assistant can be considered where the needs are outside of the range of what can be expected of parental responsibility, and with the evidence below. A PA ticket for an under 18 can be issued alongside a secondary adult ticket – a child cannot attend the festival with a PA alone.
What you'll need to apply
We accept any one of the following as evidence, for the person the ticket is for:
- An Access Card showing a "+1" symbol
- Confirmation of higher/enhanced rate DLA or PIP (care or mobility component)
- Registered blind, deaf, or a wheelchair user
- A letter from a GP, social worker, or school SENCO confirming a need for one-to-one support
- A local authority carer's assessment, or a Carer's Allowance award letter

How to apply
Buy your own ticket(s) as normal.
Email us your evidence (see above) along with your order number, at least 2–3 weeks before the festival.
We'll confirm and send your free PA/Carer ticket, linked to your booking.
- Evidence needs to be in the name of the person being cared for, not the companion.
- The PA/Carer must be aged 16 or over, and able to support the attendee throughout the event, including in an emergency.
- Applications after the deadline may not be possible to process in time, so please apply early.
